Kneep Campsite sits on the grassy dunes of Traigh na Beirigh (Reef Beach) benefiting from the wonderful beach and spectacular views.

In the summer, the machair, an ever changing palette of stunning wildflowers is a unique habitat that is one of the rarest in Europe. With a white sandy beach, bright turquoise blue water and purple splashed hillsides on your doorstep, this spot is perfect to immerse yourself in nature.

The campsite is a community based enterprise and run by the Kneep villagers.

What we offer…

  • 50 pitches across the site with varying views

  • 18 pitches available with electric hook-up

  • Dedicated male and female areas with toilet and shower facilities

  • 1 accessible & 2 private shower rooms

  • Showers require a £1 coin to operate

  • 2 Washing up areas with 3 sinks and a communal area

  • Water facilities available from a central point

  • Chemical toilet disposal

  • General waste and recycling facilities (Please RECYCLE where possible)

What we ask of you…

ACCESS TO THE BEACH - Please use the 3 clearly marked pathways to minimise the impact to the fragile dune system in front of the campsite.

DOGS - are welcome, please keep them on a lead while in the campsite and near to any livestock. The campsite is located next to a fank (sheep pen).

KEEPING THE PEACE & QUIET - Please be considerate to other campers and keep noise to a minimum. Strictly no generators or loud music.

WASTE & RECYCLING - There are plenty of recycling facilities please use them to help us keep the landfill bins to a minimum.

BBQ & FIRES - All BBQs need to be off the ground and absolutely no bonfires in the campsite please. If you have one on the beach please be sure to clean up all debris, even if its the next day when coals are cold.
